This awesome musical event presents the massed voices of King Edward Choir, Lyrica Chamber Choir, Choir, Bravado! Show Choir, and selected members of Barrie's secondary school choirs, all accompanied by the Huronia Symphony Orchestra. Featuring exciting music from Orff's “Carmina Burana” and rousing popular opera choruses by Verdi, Puccini and others, conducted by  John Barnum.  This blockbuster concert marks the beginning of an annual Barrie Choral Festival that willcelebrate fine choirs locally and nationally.

Classical Fireworks - Sunday February 6,  2011

Opening with an energetic overture by Beethoven, this program includes the intense Bach Concerto in C minor for violin and oboe featuring our own Valerie Selander and Peter Voisey.  This is contrasted with the brilliant and festive Music for the Royal Fireworks by Handel.  The concert concludes with the youthful  dynamism of Beethoven's  Symphony No. 2.

The Romantics - Sunday May 29,  2011 - Season Finale

An exploration of the wide emotional range in music from the Romantic period. Internationally celebrated piano virtuoso Jamie Parker performs the popular Schumann Concerto on Barrie’s renowned Shigeru Kawai piano.  We conclude our season on an upbeat note with Brahms’ ever-popular and triumphant Symphony No. 2.
